Become a Bertha Harris Women’s Center Intern in Fall 2024
Calling all students. Are you a sophomore, junior, or senior? Have you taken a WGS course? Are you interested in serving your community and supporting women and those who support them at our College and in our community?
You are invited to apply to become an intern in the Bertha Harris Women’s Center. All are welcome – men, women, non-binary folks, everyone – and all who join us will be part of our inclusive and active community of service.
Among the projects we have undertaken in the 2023-2024 academic year:
- Speed-friending events to help create community;
- Toy Drive for Safe Horizon, to benefit families whose lives have been interrupted by violence;
- Student-centered events like “Puppies and Pizza,” to provide support in these challenging times;
- Cultural events like film screenings, poetry readings, historical lectures, and book drives;
- Fundraising and product collection drives to benefit students with scholarships and support for the Food Pantry;
- Self-defense and anti-domestic violence trainings.
What do you feel our community needs in 2024-2025? Come help build our effort.
Please see the details on the online flyer.
