You are invited to attend an interactive workshop “Responding to Microaggressions in the Workplace”” presented by the Center for Anti-Violence Education as part of our Campus Climate Initiative.

Responding to Microaggressions in the Workplace

This training is for adults who want to learn communication strategies to disrupt microaggressions in the workplace and beyond. You will examine the oppressive legacies that undergird microaggressions and practice calling-in strategies to interrupt them, with the goal of shifting workplace culture.

You will learn:

  • The four levels of oppression and positionality
  • A mindset for intervening in microaggressions
  • Calling-in strategies
  • Aftercare

This event will be held on Wednesday, June 26th, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm in the Green Dolphin Lounge located in Building 1C. Food and beverages will be provided.

Please note that students can earn CLUE credit for attending this event; 1PG and 1CC.

This workshop is designed to be comprehensive and interactive, and included real life scenarios, small group discussions, and case studies.
