Please join us for the third installation of Bertha’s Harris Summer of Love.
In our first workshop, we had so much fun making Boro-inspired patching and darning. Most of the attendees came at noon and stayed until almost 4:00pm because they were having so much fun. (Check out our Instagram to see some of the things that they made: @Womenscentercsi)
In week two, we made Indian Kantha-style needlebooks. Kantha is a way of recycling old Saris and scrap fabric into beautiful bed coverings.
In week three, we will make traditional French Biscornu (meaning “bizarre”) pincushions. This is an easy project for every level of sewer, especially beginners.
The workshop starts on Wednesday, July 10 in Building 2N, Room 106 at noon and the learning part is completed by 12:30pm–after that is just hanging out and stitching together. Come for a little or all.
Supplies will be provided. Also, enjoy coffee, tea, snacks, and good company. All are welcome, especially staff.
