I am pleased to announce CSI’s new Interim Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, Dr. Ruta Shah-Gordon.

Most recently, Dr. Shah-Gordon was Vice President for Enrollment and Campus Life/Deputy Title IX Officer at Wagner College, a position she has held since 2021.

As Wagner’s Chief Student Affairs and Enrollment Officer, Dr. Shah-Gordon oversaw Admissions, and the College’s Centers for: Health and Wellness, Academic and Career Development, Intercultural Advancement, and Spirituality.  She also directed the Department of Student Engagement and Activities, Department of Lifelong Learning, Department of Public Safety, and Department of Residential Education. In addition, she managed leadership development, orientation, family weekend, student conduct, and internationalization for Wagner. 

In her more than 23 years at Wagner College, Dr. Shah-Gordon held various leadership positions, including Vice President, Internationalization, Intercultural Affairs, and Campus Life; Associate Dean for Student Development; and Chief of Staff. She has also worked at several colleges and universities throughout New York and the Northeast, with more than three decades in higher education. In addition to committee involvement and special assignments, Dr. Shah-Gordon has authored grants, co-authored a book chapter, and participated in speaking engagements, nationally and around the world.

She holds a Ph.D. in Leadership and Change from Antioch University in Ohio, a Master of Science in Psychology from Colgate University, and a Bachelor of Science from The State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Dr. Shah-Gordon officially begins her role as Interim Vice President at CSI today. Please join me in giving her a warm and enthusiastic welcome as she embarks on this exciting new chapter with our community!
