The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development, in collaboration with the Office of Faculty Success, is pleased to offer an opportunity to CSI faculty to attend CAMP AI at Hunter College, scheduled for Jan. 20 – 22, 2026. 

Camp AI is a three-day virtual synchronous event focused on helping faculty address generative AI in a course. Organized by Hunter College’s Center for Digital Learning and Innovative Pedagogy, the staff will work intensively to support faculty as they craft an AI policy statement for a course and design or redesign an assignment. Camp AI is part presentation and part hands-on activity. Prospective participants are asked to set aside time to attend all the sessions, write the syllabus statement and assignment instructions for a course that they will be teaching, and present it to colleagues at the end of this professional development event.  

Eligibility criteria for CSI participants to attend Camp AI at Hunter College:  

  1. You must be a full-time tenure-track faculty or a full-time lecturer 
  2. You should be scheduled to teach at least two or more courses during Spring 2026 

Participants will receive a stipend of $300 for attending all the sessions and completing all the activities. Participants will also be expected to participate in a Lightning Talk session event at the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development during Spring 2026 to present the results of their activity at Camp AI.
