As the Fall 2025 semester closes, I am reminding you about the incomplete grade deadline and policy.
The last day to remove an INC grade from the Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 semesters is Monday, Dec. 15, 2025. INC grades not changed by the deadline will be converted to FIN grades.
INC Grade Extension: Instructors may request a one-semester INC grade extension for an undergraduate student or one-year INC grade extension for graduate students. Any INC grade that is unresolved after the extension deadline will become a FIN and may not be changed thereafter. The Undergraduate and Graduate INC Deadline Extension Forms can be found in Faculty/Staff Resources.
*New* All grade change requests must be submitted by the instructor through the Change of Grade Forms tile in CUNYFirst, located in the Faculty Center. Instructors will need the following information:
- Student Name
- EMPLID
- Semester and Year
- Course Number and Section
- Current Grade
- New Grade
- Reason for Change
Once approved by the department, the request will be routed to the Office of the Registrar.
Please note that additional grading support will follow along with important instructions and deadlines pertaining to your end-of-semester grade rosters.
