As we prepare to return to in‑person operations tomorrow, we write to remind you that Staten Island has received a significant amount of snowfall this past weekend. As a large campus, snow‑removal operations require coordinated, phased efforts, and the Facilities team has been working continuously to prepare the grounds and ensure safe access to all buildings and parking areas.

Campus conditions are similar to what you are seeing across the Borough. As such, we encourage everyone to drive carefully, allow additional time for travel and parking, and use caution while moving about.

Facilities has prioritized clearing and treating primary roadways, parking lots, main pedestrian pathways, and key access points so that all academic and administrative buildings are accessible. Some interior or secondary walkways may still be in progress, thus community members may need to travel slightly farther than usual when moving between buildings. Snow‑removal operations will continue throughout the day tomorrow as work progresses on secondary paths.

Please dress appropriately for winter weather, including wearing suitable footwear.

If you come across areas of concerns when navigating campus, please contact Facilities Management at 718.982.3210. Reporting issues helps ensure they can be addressed promptly.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation, and we extend our thanks to the Facilities team for their dedicated efforts in preparing the campus for reopening.
