The full day and night schedule for the spring is now available online.

This spring we have the main planets in great positions to observe. Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are beautiful objects to see in a telescope. We will also have a number of daytime observations of the Sun with special solar telescopes that reveal the sunspot storms and explosive events on the surface called a prominence. A rare event will happen on Tuesday, June 5 at sunset when the planet Venus crosses the disk of the Sun and we will observe this phenomena with our solar telescopes. The next so-called Transit of Venus will occur in December 2117 so it is a very rare event. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime phenomena.
