Simon Reader is Assistant Professor of Nineteenth-Century British Literature in the Department of English. His current book project, Notework: An Aesthetics of Inquiry 1829-1915 argues for the coherence of the writer’s notebook as a genre. He has previously taught courses on Victorian literature, fragmentary writing, twitter, and the role of pleasure in literary criticism.
