A historical season will end in a historical way this morning into the afternoon, as the College of Staten Island men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams will be taking part in the CUNYAC Championship for the first time ever as a varsity program today.  CSI promises to be right smack in the middle of contention for plenty of medals and a chance to place near the top of the table.

CSI @ CUNYAC CHAMPIONSHIP MEET
Where: Icahn Stadium – 20 Randall’s Island, New York, NY
Last Meeting: First time participating
Players to Watch (CSI):  The usual crew will be back at it for the Dolphins.  Look for men’s distance runners Liam McMunn and Spencer Milito to set the tone while Jared Nusser and Jordan Thompson will look to secure medals in the short and medium-distance track events.  Olaitan Okeowo and Canaan Rodriguez could vie for valuable points in field events.  The women’s circuit has been dominated by Deavion Brown in the dashes and Kharyn Ethridge in the longer distances.  Look for Rachel Edmonds and Cassidy Iannariello to also showcase in field events, alongside Stephanie DaSilva, while Tristiana Adragna will look to score valuable points on the track.
