Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Wagner College and has earned her M.A. in teaching nursing from New York University. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, specializing in Psychiatric Mental-Health Nursing, in various health care institutions. As a nurse educator, Ms. Schiano, has over ten years of teaching experience at Wagner College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Hunter College and presently, at The College of Staten Island. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau, Mu Upsilon Chapter, (Nursing Honor Society, CSI) serving in the position of Faculty Counselor. She believes in continuing the commitment to nursing excellence and leadership in the workplace and in the community. Ms. Schiano is presently enrolled in the Post-Masters Certificate in Nursing Education Program at CSI.
