The CSI Career and Scholarship Center will present the 2009 Collegiate Job Fair on Thursday, April 2, 2009.

According to Caryl Watkins, director of the Center, “Attending a job fair may be just the right career move in this difficult economy.” At the fair, Watkins continues, “you will have an opportunity to have face-time with an employer where you can articulate your skills and explain how you can benefit their organization. When jobs are scarce, you have to make yourself available, and what better way than attending a job fair.”

The fair will take place from 9:30am to 2:30pm at the College of Staten Island’s Sports and Recreation Center, Building 1R. All CSI seniors,
juniors, graduate students, and alumni are invited to attend the fair, which will host employers who are recruiting for full- and part-time jobs and paid, non-paid, or for-credit internships.

For more information on how to prepare for the job fair, including résumé review, dressing for success, and interviewing tips, students should visit the Career and Scholarship Center in Building 1A, Room 105 and register for “Optimal Resume” the Center’s newly launched Web-based career development site.

Information for students and recruiters is also available by visiting www.csi.cuny.edu/career.

CSI seniors, juniors, grad students, and alumni can connect with employers at the 2009 Job Fair.
