The World on Wednesday Lecure Series will present “Career Opportunities and Student Programs in the Department of State,” by Robert William Dry, U.S. State Department Diplomat-in-Residence at City College, on Wednesday, Apr. 22 in the Campus Center (Building 1C), Room 227 from 12:20pm to 1:10pm.
Ambassador Dry will discuss the challenges and rewards of a career in the foreign service. His previous assignments have included placements in the Sultanate of Oman, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, and Iraq. Prior to coming to CUNY, Ambassador Dry served as Counselor for Environment, Science, Technology, and Health/Nonproliferation Regimes at the U.S. Embassy in Paris. Working with French security authorities, he developed a U.S.-France collaborative counterterrorism program to enhance the protection of civilian nuclear facilities and the transportation of nuclear materials.
