CUNYfirst Implementation Update

There have been a number of important developments in the delivery of CUNYfirst to report.

On the current timetable, many applications in the Human Resource module are scheduled to “go lve” on Friday, June 19, pending agreement between the CUNYfirst leadership and the campus teams. Other processes under review for readiness prior to release include line-item budgeting, course catalog creation, data preparation/readiness, Help Desk support, communication, and security. After “go live” occurs in a respective area, a systems status review will occur to determine which parallel systems may no longer be needed.

Those involved in Human Resources processes will attend training at the CSI borough center beginning on Tuesday, May 26 through Friday, June 19. Access to CUNYfirst will only be granted to those who complete the training process. In addition, individuals being trained have been informed as to their respective CUNYfirst roles and the associated security authorizations and restrictions.

Manager self-service training is now scheduled for July, with employee self-service to follow in the fall, released in phases. CSI will be the first college to have CUNYfirst employee self-service released. To use this system and be kept aware of the process, each employee has been assigned an official CSI email account. This email account must be used for all College correspondence. Those who have received a new email account have been notified. To assist those not familiar with our email system, the Help Desk provides training. For more information about available training, please contact the Help Desk at 718.982.3695.

As always, please forward questions on these or any other CUNYfirst matters to either of us. Click Here for current information.
