The NYC Department of Buildings requires the Colege to conduct an annual inspection of the elevators serving the campus. The inspections will begin at 8:00am and end at appoximately 4:00pm. The dates when these tests will occur are as follows:
Tuesday, Oct. 27——Buildings 2N, 3N, 4N, 1N
Thursday, Oct. 29——Buildings 6S, 3S, 4S
Monday Nov. 2——Buildings 5S, 1L, 1S
Wednesday Nov.4——Buildings 1P, 2S, 3A
Monday Nov. 9——Buildings 1A, 1C, 2A
Wednesday Nov. 18——Buildings 5N, 1R, 1M observatory lift, 6N
Each test will last approximately two hours. Out-of-order signs will be placed at each of the elevator doors, when the test is in progress.
We reviewed the times and dates with Bonnie Chin, from Campus Planning, and Margret Venditti, from Disability Services to assure that there would be minimal disruption to those identified students who require elevator service.
