The World On Wednesday Lecture Series presents Dr. Alan Benimoff of the Engineering Science and Physics Department and Center for Environmental Science discussing “Worldwide Geological Hazards” on Oct. 14 in the Campus Center (Building 1C), Room 227 from 12:20pm to 1:10pm.
Prof. Benimoff will speak about geology, the study of the Earth. According to Benimoff, since we live on the Earth, we should know how the Earth operates. Natural geologic hazards include earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, landslides, other mass wasting processes, tsunamis, and hurricanes.
