It is with great sadness that I announce to the College community the passing of Vice Chancellor Ernesto Malave, a wonderful colleague and dear friend.
Vice Chancellor Malave began his professional career at CUNY in student admissions, then worked in city government relations, and ultimately established his niche in budget and finance. Vice Chancellor Malave distinguished himself over the 20 years he spent in budget and finance for his professionalism, integrity, and extraordinary ability. His passing is truly a great loss for CUNY.
