Dr. Irene Deitch, Professor Emeritus of Psychology, was recently awarded the Milton Fisher ’38 Second Harvest Award from the Brooklyn College Alumni Association. This honor is presented as an alumnus/na who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in psychology, creativity, and public service, post-50th year of graduation. The award came with a $2,000 endowment, which Dr. Deitch donated to the Brooklyn College Psychology Department’s MA program in Mental Health Counseling and to the Creative Writing Program.
Dr. Deitch was also the recipient of the Brooklyn College Alumni Association’s Life Achievement Award in 2007.
