The CSI Disaster Relief Committee is having another White Elephant sale on Thursday, Apr. 29 outside the Campus Center (Building 1C) from noon to 3:00pm.
Think of the White Elephant as a way to unload some of your unwanted items to help those in need. With your help, we’ve raised money for victims of several natural disasters including the 2007 tsunami and this year’s earthquake in Haiti. This time sales will benefit the victims of the recent earthquake in Chile.
Our next White Elephant will be bigger than ever. We’re partnering with the Campus Activities Board, which is holding its Spring Carnival and Barbecue on the same day. This is sure to be a huge event, with lots of fun as well as a great chance to support a wonderful cause. The proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross’s Chilean relief efforts.
Please donate your used (in good condition) or unused items. Suggested items include, but are not limited to, books, toys, games, housewares, decorative items, and new or gently worn clothes. Donations will be accepted daily from the hours of 10:00am until 4:30pm at the Campus Center and on the day of the event.
If other arrangements for delivery have to be made, or for further information regarding the event, please call the Office of Student Life at 718.982.3088.
Thanks for your help and support of this worthy event.
