New York State "Power Down" Technology Policy

The College of Staten Island is required to follow the New York State “Power Down” Technology Policy, mandating that a computer that is idle for 30 minutes be put in sleep mode.

In order to get your computer out of sleep mode, move the mouse around and be patient. It could take a few minutes for a computer to come out of sleep mode. If you have any problems getting your machine out of sleep mode, please contact the Helpdesk at 718.982.3695.
