I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kenneth T. Bach as Director of Communications and Marketing at the College of Staten Island, following a national search. His appointment is effective Thursday, July 1, 2010.

Mr. Bach has been serving as the College’s Acting Director of Communications and Marketing for the past three years, where he led a strategic, integrated multimedia marketing communications program; developed new Web communications vehicles, annual multimedia advertising campaigns, and video production venues; and managed the College’s media relations. From 2001 to his current appointment, Mr. Bach served the College as Director of Public Relations.

Mr. Bach’s previous professional experience includes as Executive Officer for Liza Minnelli, Inc., where he acted as company manager, production manager, stage manager, and executive assistant during national and international tours. His experience also includes company manager for Summerset Productions, Inc., producing and co-directing stage plays and managing technical, venue, and production personnel. From 1989 to 1995, Mr. Bach was Box Office and Front of House Manager for the College of Staten Island’s Center for the Arts.

Mr. Bach earned a Bachelor degree with Double Major in English Literature and Media Communications from St. John’s University.
