The CSI Small Business Development Center, the U. S. Small Business Administration, and the Internal Revenue Service will host a free financial literacy seminar on Monday, September 27 at The Vanderbilt at South Beach, 300 Father Capodanno Blvd., Staten Island from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. Registration begins at noon.

The event will feature keynote speaker John J. Vento, CPA, MBA, CFP®, who will discuss “Enhance Your Financial Literacy: Implement Successful Tax Strategies for Existing and Emerging Businesses. A panel discussion with a group of diversified lenders will follow regarding issues affecting access to capital.

Dean Balsamini, Director of CSI Small Business Development Center says that financial literacy is important because, “whether you are a potential new entrepreneur or a current small business owner, you are destined for failure without it. Come join us at the seminar and speak with the subject matter experts about your business and financial needs.”
