CUNY VOTES Targets Voter Apathy among Students

The City University of New York has launched the CUNY VOTES initiative, a comprehensive, nonpartisan 23-campus campaign to banish voter apathy among college students—and to set a national example aimed at inspiring the general voting population to get to the polls.

Students, faculty, alumni, and staff from throughout the five-borough CUNY community are gearing up to vote on Tuesday, November 2—and to demonstrate their commitment visibly by wearing their college colors to the polls. Barnes & Noble founder and Chairman Leonard Riggio and his team are—at CUNY’s request—generously offering a 25% discount on collegiate apparel through Wednesday, November 3 at all their campus bookstores and campus bookstore Websites.
