Machinal, is a leading American Expressionist play, and the first written by a woman, Sophie Treadwell. Nine vivid, hard-hitting episodes visit the subjective horrors and secret joys in the life of the woman who will kill her husband, culminating in her trial and execution. The production, directed by senior Dramatic Arts major Christine Zahra-Devito, and scored to music, is created by a team of talented and inspired students, and brings this very important play and topic to life at our College.
