The Visiting Nurse Association of Staten Island will not be providing flu vaccinations at the CSI Health Center this year, as it has cancelled its Community Flu Prevention Campaign due to increased competition from local pharmacies.
The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices currently recommends that an annual vaccination be administered to all persons aged six months and older for the 2010–2011 influenza season.
