On behalf of the Honorary Degree Committee, I invite the campus community to nominate individuals for consideration of an honorary degree. It is important that the committee receive nominations this fall so that we can start the selection process for degrees to be conferred at the spring 2011 Commencement.
If you know of someone you think would make an ideal candidate for an honorary degree, please forward their name, current affiliation, and a short statement describing why you think they are deserving of the degree. If possible, please include a biosketch or résumé of the candidate. You do not need to contact the candidate for this information and can use information that is online or publically available; any format will suffice.
The committee will meet in December 2010 for initial screening of names.
