CSI is hosting its Second Annual Relay for Life on Friday, May 6 at the College’s Track and Field by Lot 6. The walk will begin at 3:00pm and end at midnight.
Many of us here at CSI have been touched by cancer. The fight against cancer is everyone’s battle. The College of Staten Island has a timely opportunity to make an important contribution to this fight and I appeal to you to join us and be a part of it.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the largest special event in the entire country. This is a celebration that brings together students, friends, work associates, and families to celebrate the lives of those who have had cancer, remember those we have lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.
Teams from CSI and the Staten Island community will compete against each other to raise the most money and travel the most laps around the CSI Track into the night. While the Relay is happening, team members will have the opportunity to hang out and enjoy food, games, Zumba, and live entertainment.
Please accept this invitation to join us by creating a team for the walk on May 6 or joining one that has already been created. If you would like more information, please contact Robert King Kee in the Office of Student Life at 718.982.3119. This event and the day’s activities are open to the entire community. You can also get more information and sign up online.
Come and join in the fun for a great cause.
