The Dolphins broke their streak of losses with a 3-1 victory over Cooper Union on Friday evening. CSI extended to a 3-15 record in the non-conference.

CSI grabbed the first two sets by scores of 25-13 and 25-17 before the Lady Hawks would take set three, 25-21, and CSI would finally take the win with a 25-18 set four.

The Dolphins were led by Vasiliki Stergioula with a game-high 11 kills, 10 digs and six service aces. Pola Poskrobko and Monica Concepcion had seven kills apiece while JeanMarie Lewandowski had 16 digs. Gabriele Bradshaw added 26 assists and 8 digs.

Coach Atef Dosse was happy with his teams level of play, “We finally got our confidence back and we played well together”. Coach Dosse was particularly glad his players shined, “Monica played hard and strong and her true ability came out today and Vasiliki is gaining more confidence each game.”

Annick Pellus led the Lady Hawks with six digs while Grace Wang totaled 14 digs.

CSI totaled 36 kills to Cooper Union’s 17 kills. The Dolphins had 17 service aces.

The Dolphins will host their final conference game against York College on Tuesday, October 25, at 7:00 pm. The game will also serve as their Senior Day for lone senior Danielle Ponsiglione.
