The Dolphins dropped a 3-1 match to Rutgers-Newark on Saturday afternoon. The non-conference match saw CSI fall to a 2-15 record while the Scarlet Raiders extended to a 5-16 record. The Dolphins captured the first set 25-18 while the Scarlet Raiders took over the rest of the game with scored of 25-11, 25-16 and 25-9.
Vasiliki Stergiuola led the Dolphins with six kills and 14 digs while JeanMarie Lewandowski added 20 digs to lead all teams. Monica Concepcion added four kills with 14 digs. Gabriele Bradshaw and Jennifer Samuel combined for 17 assists.
Ula Nieznalska and Rachel Witt led the Scarlet Raiders with 13 kills apiece. Paulina Walega and Nieznalska totaled 11 digs apiece. Jen Mendoza had a game-high 28 kills.
The Dolphins will travel to Hunter College on Tuesday, October 18 for a 6:00 pm conference game.
