The Center for International Service and the Department of Media Culture present a screening of the film Crossing Borders, with a chance to meet the director on Thursday, Nov. 17 in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P) Recital Hall, from 1:30pm to 3:20pm.
Crossing Borders is a 70-minute documentary that follows four Moroccan and four U.S. university students as they travel together through Morocco. Inthe process of discovering “The Other,” they discover themselves. The students confront the complex implications of the supposed “clash of civilizations” between Islam and the West.
Meet director Arnd Wachter and learn about his fascination with foreign cultures and the transformative power of journeys that has led him to explore a wide range of travel destinations on six continents.
