The Center for the Arts will host the New York Philharmonic Ensembles in the Springer Concert Hall.

The New York Philharmonic Ensembles, composed of musicians from the Orchestra, will give its ninth consecutive performance at the CSI Center for the Arts (CFA) Monday, November 14 at 7:30pm in a program featuring Mozart’s Duo in G major for Violin and Viola, K. 423; Dohnányi’s Serenade for String Trio, Op. 10; and Brahms’s Quintet in B minor for Clarinet and Strings, Op. 115. The musicians on this year’s program will be Sheryl Staples, Principal Associate Concertmaster; Yulia Ziscal, Violin; Cynthia Phelps, Principal Viola; Eileen Moon, Associate Principal Cello; Mark Nuccio, Acting Principal Clarinet; and Alan Gilbert, Music Director.

Since 1984 the Philharmonic Ensembles series has presented diverse programming of both classical masterpieces and modern compositions. Ensembles concerts are also offered on the Orchestra’s international and domestic tours and at locations throughout New York City.
