The SMART Program—the Science and Mathematics for Research Transformation Program—is now accepting applications.
The SMART Program provides scholarships to undergraduate and master’s students who have demonstrated ability and special aptitude for the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. SMART fellows receive a full tuition scholarship, a stipend of more than $20,000, prospects for paid summer internships, and other unique opportunities to pursue their careers after graduation.
Qualified students must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Biosciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Psychology, Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Oceanography, Physics, or Physical Sciences. The SMART Scholarship Program is open only to citizens of the United States who are at least 18 years of age.
The application deadline is Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011. Students can visit the Program Website for more information or to begin an application.
