The tradition of International Education Week (IEW) dates back to the year 2000 when it was introduced as a joint initiative between the U.S. departments of State and Education.
“An opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide,” IEW is celebrated on college campuses during the week in November that precedes Thanksgiving week. For CSI’s IEW Calendar of Events, please visit the College’s IEW Website. All events are CLUE-certified.
This year at CSI we have Passport Day on Tues, Nov. 15 in Building 2A, Room 206 from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Members of the CSI community who are U.S. citizens may bring a completed passport application to obtain a first-time U.S. passport or to renew with a nearby county clerk’s office that will process on behalf of the U.S. State Department. Obtaining a passport is the first step to traveling abroad and is encouraged for everyone, whether you have immediate travel plans or not. For a checklist of what you need and to download the applications, visit our Center’s Events page.
If you have questions about any of these events, please visit the Center for International Service in Building 2A, Room 206, call us at 718.982.2100, or email us at intstudy@csi.cuny.edu.
