In an effort to rid the College of obsolete, broken, and unused equipment, the offices of Buildings and Grounds and Campus Planning conduct campus-wide pickups of the equipment twice a year, in January and July.
If you need equipment removed for discard, please forward an email to email@example.com; lillian.mcGinn@csi.cuny.edu, and firstname.lastname@example.org stating what the equipment is, including the CUNY barcode tag, and the location of the equipment.
As the requests accumulate, Marilyn Ulrich of the Office of Buildings and Grounds will contact each of you to set up a scheduled time to pick up the equipment. Please make your requests as early in the month as possible. There is limited storage space and once we reach our capacity, all remaining requests will be held until the next salvage pick-up period.
In addition, next month, the College will again participate in Recyclemania. Recyclemania is a nation-wide collegiate recycling competition. Last year, CSI placed sixth in the event, and we hope to finish even higher in this year’s event. As you rid your work spaces of old equipment for salvage pick up, please put aside any old paper or cardboard for Recyclemania. Additional information on Recyclemania will be sent at the end of January.
