On Tuesday, May 1, CSI will host Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day 2012. All  full- and part-time College employees are invited to bring their daughters and sons (ages 6 to 16) to the day’s events.

As part of the day’s activities, children will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of planned activities (schedule to follow) and to meet CSI President Dr. Tomás D. Morales. In order to accommodate you, we are pre-registering those children who plan on participating in the event.  Please send an email to veronica.dimeglio@csi.cuny.edu with Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day in the subject line and in the body of the email provide the name(s) and age(s) of your child(ren)  by April 23.  You may also contact the Registrar’s Office by phone at 718.982.2331.

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is a national event held annually. The program was started as Take Our Daughters to Work Day by the Ms. Foundation for Women in 1993, with the goal of choosing a day to bring girls and young women into the workplace to mentor and inspire the next generation of women. Over the years, formalized programs at companies, schools, and government agencies have grown to include boys as well as girls in activities designed to introduce children to careers and the opportunities available to them in the workplace. What better place for children to explore the vast opportunities of their futures than on our campus. We look forward to an exciting day and to meeting your children.
