We are pleased to announce the College’s approval of the renaming of the Office of Academic Advisement to the Center for Advising and Academic Success (CAAS). Under the leadership of its Director, Paulette Brower-Garrett, CAAS will continue to be responsible for providing vision in the field of advising for our campus community.

Acknowledging the need to foster and enhance student learning, development, and civic-mindedness within advisement, the Center will play a significant role in promoting and utilizing the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) advising principles within the College’s daily operations. The renaming of the office will further support the recognition by Middle States of the contribution that academic advisement makes in strengthening student persistence, retention, and graduation, and will serve to reinforce the University’s increased focus on student advisement.

Join us in congratulating the Center on its new vision and mission and in collaboratively ensuring our students’ success.
