After trailing by as many as ten in the first half; the Dolphins, led by 14 second half points from junior Jonathon Chadwick-Myers, stormed back to overtake Baruch, 74-64, and grab control of first place in the CUNY.
CSI (7-2 overall, 4-0 CUNYAC) played from behind the entire game until a Javon Cox layup in the second half, at the 18:22 mark, finally put the Dolphins up, 41-39.
Baruch (7-5 overall, 3-2 CUNYAC) continued to keep pace throughout the second half as the two teams would trade leads five different times, while being tied another five. The Dolphins would finally take control at the nine minute mark of the second half when Chadwick-Myers put home a layup to ultimately give CSI the lead for good. His jumper at the 2:52 mark was the dagger, which put the Dolphins up by eight.
CSI wrapped it up going a perfect 6 for 6 from the free-throw line in the final minute.
Chadwick-Myers finished with a game high 20 points, while Cox added 17 of his own. Fellow Juniors Dylan Bulger, Kevin King and Matt Van Manen combined for 25 of the Dolphins 41 rebounds, which were 13 more than Baruch.
Baruch was led by Senior Fuat Yapar and Sophomore Brian McMahon who each had 15 points apiece, while Yapar added nine rebounds.
The Dolphins are back in action Tuesday when they will travel to Lehman College to take on the Lightning
