This past Monday, I met with the members of the search committee for the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences and received their recommendations concerning the suitability of various candidates for this position. I am now pondering the recommendations I received and also reading the feedback my office has received from various campus stakeholders. I am inviting all of you who would like to advise me concerning this decision to do so by the end of the week, either in writing or via the phone. I hope to make my decision by the beginning of January. I look forward to receiving your input on this important process.
