I am pleased to announce the appointment of Janine Scaff as Interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement and External Relations. This appointment, which is subject to approval by the CUNY Board of Trustees at their February meeting, comes after the resignation of current Vice President Dr. Kenneth Boyden, who has accepted another position with a Philadelphia-based educational non-profit organization.

Ms. Scaff, the former Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement and External Relations at the College, has an extensive track record in fundraising and advancement. Prior to her arrival at CSI, she was Director of Major Giving for Villanova University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Ms. Scaff has also served as Director of Development at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance, and Director of the Philadelphia Orchestra Association’s Annual Fund, among other positions.

Ms. Scaff received a Master’s of Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Center of Government and a Bachelor’s in Music from Scripps College in Claremont, CA.

Ms. Scaff was hired as an Assistant Vice President from a strong pool of candidates following a full national search so the College community is very fortunate to have her serve as Interim Vice President during this transition period. Please join me in congratulating her in her new role at CSI.

I would also like to thank Ken Boyden for his dedication and service to the College and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
