Tuesday Business Briefs: “Luxury Brands: Why They Are Successful and Why People Want Them”

The Tuesday Business Briefs series presents “Luxury Brands: Why They Are Successful and Why People Want Them” with  Dr. Dan Zhang on Feb. 11 in Building 3N, Room 218 from 2:30pm to 4:00pm.

How do luxury brands develop, and why do people buy luxury goods? What are some of the marketing strategies that major luxury brands employ? Professor Dan Zhang of the Marketing Department will present an introduction to a variety of aspects of luxury brands.

Dr. Dan Zhang earned her PhD in Business Administration from the Fox School of Business, Temple University. Prior to moving to the U.S., she was Assistant Professor of Art Design at Renmin University of China, Beijing. She has also contributed to notable projects involving the Capital Museum of China and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Tuesday Business Briefs is a series of forums presented by the School of Business at the College of Staten Island. The forums are held during Club Hours, beginning at 2:30pm, on Tuesdays while the College is in session, in Building 3N, the Business Conference Room (218).
