With severe weather events becoming more frequent and extreme, it is more important than ever that New Yorkers are prepared for disasters. Governor Cuomo has launched the New York State Preparedness Corps so residents have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly, and recover as quickly as possible from post-disaster conditions.

A two-hour “NYS Citizen Preparedness Corps” training session,  made possible by Governor Cuomo, Senator Andrew Lanza, Borough President James Oddo, Assemblymember Michael Cusick, and Councilmember Steven Matteo, is open to all residents and will take place on Wednesday, June 25 at 10:00am in the Center for the Arts (Building 1P) Concert Hall.

Registration is Web-based and required.  If you would like to learn more and register please go online.
