CAAS is pleased to offer you the opportunity to take advantage of our Academic Success Lecture Series. Each semester, CAAS is available to facilitate a series of classroom presentations to support our students’ academic and career success. Each of these presentations has been designed to support student learning and informed decision-making skills by increasing their understanding of academic policies, resources, and academic expectations.

One of our most frequently requested workshops is “Advising:  Your GPS to Success.”  This workshop addresses the advisement, registration, and graduation road map, and how to simplify it and get the most out of the college journey. Topics include remediation rules and restrictions, general education and GPA requirements, degrees offered at CSI, the declaration-of-major process, the best time to see faculty mentor/professional advisors, an introduction to DegreeWorks, and a question-and-answer period. The content can also be tweaked according to your desires.

All presentations are designed for 40 minutes; however, we have noticed that the question-and-answer period can often extend throughout the entire class period. Please note that the amount of time you wish to use is entirely up to you. Further information on this series can be obtain by accessing the CAAS Webpage.
