DOLPHINS LOOK TO DEFEND THEIR WATER AGAINST INTRUDING KNIGHTS

Tonight will be the first time the Dolphins will have to defend their waters against Queens College as these two teams have never swam against each other in their history. The meet is slated to take place at 6:00 pm here at the Sports & Recreation Center in Staten Island, NY.

The Queens College men’s swimming & diving team is 2-0 to start this season after beating Pace University 119-69 and York College 147-46.  The women sit at 1-1 after losing to Pace 129-82 and beating York 159-43.

The men started off with a great win over Pace University 132-75 in which Sophomore Tim Sweeney broke the 1650m Free record with a time of 17:23.65.  The women also already have had a record broken this year by Ewa Wojciechowska in the 200m Free against Ramapo College with a time of 2:10.87.  The men will look to stay perfect at home while the women will look for their first win tonight before heading to Baruch College on Thursday for their first CUNYAC meet of the year.
