This will be the first ever meeting between these two teams and the Dolphins will look to start this series off on the right foot.
The Gators finished their regular season in third place with a 6-2 record. Sage would make it to the semifinal game before being knocked out by Mt. St. Mary College 6-0. That semifinal finish was a huge improvement from last year as the Gators went 4-10-1 overall and 2-6 in the Skyline. Part of that success can be attributed to sophomore forward Savannah Mason who leads the team with 15 goals and will be the x-factor in today’s game as the Dolphins will need to contain Mason to keep the Gators off of the scoreboard.
CSI has made it to their fifth ECAC Postseason tournament and will look to get their first win today as they have never advanced to the semifinal round. The Dolphins are coming off of a devastating 0-1 loss to Brooklyn College in the CUNYAC Postseason tournament, and for the fourth time in five years came home with the second place trophy. The women will hope they can bounce back after that loss and make history by advancing to their first ever ECAC Semifinal.
