POSTGAME INTERVIEWS – The College of Staten Island women’s swim team got their first win of the season tonight in a very close meet.  The Dolphins were able to come back from an early deficit to win 115-111 to improve to 1-2 overall while Queens College dropped to 1-2 overall.

The women set a new CSI record with the first race of the night in the 200 yard medley relay.  Ewa Wojciechowska, Dakota Dawkins, Victoria Crea, and Naomi Gaggi recorded a time of 2:04.97 which set the tone for the Dolphins for the remainder of the meet.

The women of Queens College and Staten Island matched up very well against one another as each race went back and forth with first place finishes.  April Bartlett was able to secure a total of 18 points for her team as she placed first in both 1 meter diving events.

Wojciechowska continues to be the breakout star for the Dolphins as she placed first in all three of her events today and set a new season best with a time of 58.07 in the 100 yard freestyle.

The women will return to action Thursday, November 6, when they head to Baruch College for their first CUNYAC meet of the season.
