After a perfect week that was, College of Staten Island women’s basketball freshman Christina Pasaturo earned City University of New York Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors.  For the first-year guard, it was her 10th such honor in 11 weeks as the Dolphins now prepare for the home stretch of their season.

CSI toppled City College of New York, 63-52, and York College, 83-58, in its only two contests last week, and as usual, Pasaturo was knee-deep in the action.  Against the BEavers, Pasaturo dropped in 12 points and 11 rebounds in the double-double effort, posting a pair of assists and a team-best four steals.  Three nights later, Pasaturo played 32 minutes in the win over the Cardinals, posting 10 points and six rebounds, adding four assists.

For the year, Pasaturo leads the Dolphins in scoring with a 15.5 per game average, and is second on the squad in rebounds with 140 total and 6.4 per game.  She is also tied for second on the team in assists (49), and is third in steals with 31.

The Dolphins are back in action on Tuesday, travelling to Medgar Evers for a 6pm start.  They finish up the week at Baruch College on Friday.
