The Academy of Retired Professionals (ARP) was originally established in 2009 as The Academy of Retired Professors, co-chaired by retired Psychology Professor Irene Deitch, PhD, and retired Professor Richard Currie, PhD, English. The recent decision to change the organization’s name came from a desire to welcome and include all retired members of the professional staff.
