I am happy to be sending out this Call for Nominations for the 12th annual CUNY Women’s Leadership Conference. This year, the conference theme is “Skills Building for Public and Community Service.” The conference is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30 from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Hunter College/CUNY. Hunter is located at 68th Street and Lexington Avenue in Manhattan. The goal of this invitation-only conference is to inspire women students with demonstrated leadership qualities to further develop their skills and realize their potential as leaders.
We can invite ten of our female students to attend this conference. We are asking that you nominate students who you think are interested, available, and will gain something from the experience. Please consider academic success in making your nominations. We will select ten from among those nominated. We have tried our best in the past to send a diverse selection of women, from freshmen to graduate students.
To nominate one or more students, please complete the CUNY Women’s Leadership Conference nomination form. Please include the name, CUNY EMPL ID#, address, cell phone number, email address, and a statement about the student and why you are nominating her by Monday, Sept. 21. If you can please confirm your nominee’s availability to participate, in advance of her nomination, that would be helpful.
In addition, we are able to invite three faculty members to participate. Please let me know if you are interested and available to attend or, perhaps, if you are unable to attend, you can nominate another faculty member who you think will benefit from this experience. Thank you so much for your assistance, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
