The College of Staten Island women’s volleyball team is on the heels of their first victory of the season, and will be looking to keep the momentum going tonight as they travel to face Purchase State in non-conference action in Purchase, NY, at 7pm. CSI enters with a record of 1-1, and tonight’s match is their final tune-up before conference play on Saturday.

Players To Watch (CSI): Siobhan Granich was the offensive force in Tuesday’s win over Yeshiva, posting 12 kills. Selma Kolenovic was also a major factor, tallying eight kills and a team-high 12 digs. Look for those two players in the front to be catalysts again tonight.
Players to Watch (PC): Look for sophomore Alex Lally to have a breakout season. Last year she led the Panthers as a freshman with 127 kills and was second on the team with 86 digs.
News and Notes: Purchase kicked off their season yesterday, falling to Lehman College, 3-1. These teams last met two years ago, when Purchase took a 3-0 win, breaking a streak of three-straight CSI wins in the series. This is the fourth straight time the teams are playing at Purchase, with the teams each having taken two games at Purchase.
