The College of Staten Island men’s and women’s swimming & diving squads will take part in their final regular season dual meet tonight at 6:00 pm at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center against CUNYAC opponents York College. Before the start of the meet the Dolphins will honor their four seniors Dakota Dawkins, Hunter Dawkins, Caitlin McLoughlin, and Kelly Walsh. The Dolphins are coming off of a tough loss to Division II Adelphi College and will look to finish the season on a positive note.

Swimmers to Watch (CSI): Tim Sweeney is coming off of a record breaking performance against Adelphi University when he broke his own record of 1:47.22 in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.14.  With the CUNY’s right around the corner Sweeney will want to hone in craft in preparation of the postseason. Ewa Wojciechowska has been the most consistent swimmer on the women’s side and will look to pick up some big points for the Dolphins in tonight’s meet.
Swimmers to Watch (YC): John Castillo will spearhead the attack for the Cardinals on the men’s side and is most recently coming off of a pair of first place finishes in the 50 meter freestyle and the 100 meter breaststroke. Perla Rosario will try to take down the women in the freestyle relay.
News and Notes: York College men’s swimming & diving team will look to snap an eight game losing skid tonight when they take on the undefeated Dolphins in the final meet of the season. The CSI women will hope they’re able to snap their two game losing streak ahead of the CUNYAC Postseason Championship Meet.
